Rajesh Durbal, the first triple amputee in the world to finish the hardest endurance race, The Hawaii Iron Man World Championships, an amazing athlete and inspirational speaker, visited the Central Florida Leadership Academy on March 8th, sharing his vision of hope and courage. No one knows better than Raj the pain of being “different” in school. Raj answered questions and shared his personal story, which included learning to love himself and then reaching for his best, which echoes the character and leadership principles upon which CFLA was founded. Raj encouraged students to set personal goals and envision victory.
Raj has established the Live Free Foundation to support his efforts in assisting both disabled and able body students to reach their best. More information on his efforts can be found at http://www.live-free.net.
