CFLA kicked off its first Bowling seasons, with boys’ and girls’ teams competing against Boone High School on September 29th. The Leadership Academy had lots of spirit and had a large fan base attending. Among the highlights, ninth grader Alec J. had the highest score of any competitor in the 2d boys game! Coach Juarez was very pleased with the teams’ first outing and predicts great things to come as the teams grow in strength as the season progresses.
With 244 students in Grades 6-12, the Central Florida Leadership Academy has kicked off its largest and strongest school year ever. Of the 112 students in high school this year, thirteen seniors, constituting CFLA’s first graduating class, are spending the year finishing up their graduation requirements, planning senior events and finishing their preparation for college and careers.
CFLA’s Middle School Soccer teams saw action in their first game against Freedom Middle, with the girl’s coming away with a strong victory and the boy’s team making a strong initial debut.
On September 11th, led by the JROTC, CFLA took time out from academics to honor America and remember those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of 2001.
